Stage from Zschornewitz to Bitterfeld
From there, where the world's largest and most modern lignite-fired power plant was once built, you will embark on a tour towards the Goitzsche lake region, created from the many open-cast lakes of lignite mining around Bitterfeld.
This stage leads through the village of Zschornewitz. Here it is worth visiting the Werkssiedlung. It gives the visitor an insight into the time of social building and living at the beginning of the 20th century. From there, the route takes you around Lake Muldestausee past the information center for the environment and nature conservation "Haus am See" to Bitterfeld. There, the Goitzsche lake region offers a variety of leisure and recreational opportunities.

From now on, the "Blue Trail" will guide interested visitors along almost three kilometers from the lake promenade at the Bernsteinsee Marina to Bitterfeld's city center, which is always worth a visit with its sights, stores and gastronomic offerings. Peppered with quiz questions and interactive elements, the route itself becomes an experience. Once you reach your destination, the digital city tour awaits you.
