Bis zum 31. Dezember 2025 finden südlich vom Gremminer See Arbeiten zur Entwässerung der Böschung statt. Vom sogenannten Stadtbalkon bis zur Auffahrt Strohwalde bzw. Richtung Ferropolis ist  der Uferweg in verschiedenen Abschnitten bis zum Ende der Baumaßnahme gesperrt. Aus diesem Grunde erfolgt auch eine temporäre Umleitung des Kohle | Dampf | Licht | Seen -  Radweges, die vor Ort auch ausgeschildert ist. Aktuell beinhaltet diese auch eine komplette Sperrung des Uferweges von beiden Seiten des Stadtbalkons aus.

From week 30, the Coal I Steam I Light I Lakes cycle route between Burgkemnitz and Friedersdorf will be closed due to construction work.
A good three kilometers of cycle path are being built between Burgkemnitz and the blue lake, including a connection to the old post road between Friedersdorf and Schlaitz.
The construction work should be completed by the end of the year.

The reason for this is to upgrade this important tourist cycle path in order to counteract dangerous situations due to the poor surface conditions. This gap closure should also connect residents from the heath villages quickly and directly with the industrial area and the town of Bitterfeld-Wolfen.

Visitors on this section of cycle path are asked to follow the signposted detour. (see attached map)

Since the beginning of November 2023, the Coal I Steam I Light I Lakes cycle route between Bitterfeld and Delitzsch has been closed due to bridge damage caused by waterlogging. The closed area includes the bridge 46 over the Graben 2 in the Saxon area, belonging to the town of Delitzsch, directly after the state border.
A detour for cyclists is to be signposted. Due to the proximity to Saxony-Anhalt, this detour will mainly take place in Saxony-Anhalt. (see map) This will be via Lake Paupitz and will reconnect to the correct Coal I Steam I Light I Lakes cycle route near Lake Neuhausen.

We ask all guests on this section of the cycle route to follow the signposted detour.

Vom 08.04. bis 31.10.2024 wird der Haynaer Weg über die BAB 14 auf Grund des Ersatzneubaues des Widerlagers gesperrt. Die Umleitung für diesen Teil des Kohle | Dampf | Licht | Seen - Radweges erfolgt über die Gustav-Adolf-Straße und die K7429.
Seitens der Stadt Leipzig wurden am 27.03.24 entsprechende Hinweisschilder aufgestellt, um auf diese Umleitung hinzuweisen.
