Historic building locksmith and forge workshop
A tour of the living quarters & craft chambers offers a glimpse into the daily life of a family around 1900.
While advancing industrialization is leaving its mark, traditional crafts are strongly represented, especially in small towns like Gräfenhainichen. Master craftsmen, such as August Reinhard, are among the town's most respected citizens.
When visiting, the countless historical items from eels to top hats, as well as the stories about the Reinhards and craftsmanship, make the eyes of visitors young and old light up. In the 10 years of the association's existence, bequests from other master craftsmen have since found their home in the "Schmiede," as the property is called by the Eineimische.
