Bitterfeld Water Center

Bitterfeld Water Center

The disused former Bitterfeld waterworks directly on the B 100 opposite the Goitzsche is now an information and education center on the subject of water.

From the disused former waterworks Bitterfeld directly on the B 100 opposite the Goitzsche, a source of knowledge of a special kind has emerged.

Historic parts of the plant provide insight into the history of water treatment. In an interactive exhibition, visitors can experience everyday scientific phenomena through playful experiments.

For school classes, the water center offers project days, and the idiosyncratic ambience of the sound reservoir and its special acoustic properties provide exceptional musical experiences.
